We had our 3rd Annual Redmond Ridge Easter Egg Hunt this morning over at Rosa Parks.
It was great and there were a ton of families out for the event. It is hard to believe it here in the Seattle area, but we are having one of the most beautiful days we have had in a long time. The forecast was for rain all week and rain next week with a one day window today with NO rain at all. When Tanya and I got up this morning there was not a cloud in the sky. Again, for those of you who live in Cali, this is a miracle!
The event went really well and Matt always does an amazing job with the activities and games. He does this interactive, fast paced, pull kids from the audience Nickelodeon type thing. It's pretty cool. He had one mom ask if the team ever does birthday parties and a teacher asked if he was available for school assemblies. All this to say, Matt does a great job.
The school has a unique fire alarm system. We learned this when some balloons floated up to the ceiling and set of the alarm. It cut our program short but it got the kids out to the park a few minutes early to get their eggs. ![]()
Because of the change of plans I helped get the room reset for the prize table and missed Abby doing her first Easter egg hunt. Tanya grabbed a couple photos or her and I think some others may have helped me out.
Overall a great morning and one of our favorite events we do with the community events committee. Looking forward to next year.
