It got me thinking about heroes. I have a couple that I know personally. My father is one. He is not an outspoken person in any way. But his life speaks very clear. He is a hardworking, honest, faithful, godly man who is full of integrity. All my life he ha demonstrated these characteristics. I hope to be a fraction of who he is.
Charles Anderson is a pastor that I worked with for five years at CCA. Seasoned in faith and experience he is the pastors pastor. He had pastored the church previously and then in 200 returned to pastor the senior adults. He is a man of character who knows God well. Just being around him makes you feel closer to Jesus.
One of my heroes had a moral failure this year. That has been very hard to deal with.
Who are your heroes? Why?

Honestly, my parents- both of them have modeled Christlikeness, humility, compassion, integrity and love like no one else I've ever known. They have always set a high example for me in ministry, never talking about confidential things or speaking negatively about anyone in front of me. That's definitely helped me from having a chip on my shoulder and a bitterness toward people. Honestly, you and Tanya are heroes to me, too! Your ministry and speaking have always been SOOO challenging, refreshing, deep and funny more than most anyone I can think of! And Tanya has been so incredible to me and her being a mentor to me was a true answer to prayer! God is so good! You guys are awesome, and amazing examples of incarnating Jesus!
