U218

The world seems to be in a bit of a Bono whirl wind right now. The thing that chaps my hide is that I have been swept right up into it myself.

Here is the issue: When I listen to him I quite often hear a more pure gospel than I hear in most of the churches I have been to in the past year. That is actually quite a few.

I recently got my hands on a copy of an intereview Bono did with Bill Hybles for last years Leadership Summit. He speaks very openly about his faith history and current trajectory.

As a result of my recent interest, I have also ratcheted up my interest in U2's music. I have always been a fan. Not a fanatic but I appreciate their music. With the recent release of their singles project "U218" you get a very good overview of the musical history of the band. There are 18 studio versions and 10 live recordings for a grand total of 28 songs!

The music took me back to high school and also brought back to the surface some memories from this past year.

Check it out.
