This title comes from a radio commercial that plays here in Seattle. The narrator tells of this amazing financial opportunity for the listener and his concluding comment is, "This is the biggest no brainer in the history of Earth!"
I feel the same way about this equation:
Information + Application = Transformation
Last week I had an "Ah-ha" moment while preparing for my Sunday morning talk. This equation came to mind. It is so simple, yet profoundly true.
God has been doing stuff in me over the past month and it is directly tied to these three parts. It seems so simple and such a no-brainer, but for some reason I have overlooked the power of this simple equation. When my response to his word is obedience, it changes me.
It can be so easy to attend a worship gathering on a Sunday and take in all kinds of information and NEVER change. But there is something beautifully simple about hearing the truth of scripture, obeying what it says and watching Jesus change you from the inside out.

I stumbled upon this blog after seeing your FB post tonight...and it's great. One of my things I fall back on right now is "Obedience trumps worst case scenario". There is not one single good enough "excuse" to not be obedient. But it sure isn't easy! :)
