I am getting back into the Monday morning routine of reading, reflecting, writing and planning. For years this was my typical Monday morning and for some reason I had gotten out of the habit.
I had an intentionally slow start this morning, getting up and spending an hour or so with Tanya and Abby before heading out the door.
Once I got my coffee and settled in I purposely read scripture and spent time meditating and reflecting.
Shortly after writing in my journal on YouVersion.com, a couple from our church walked in. So we sat and talked for a few minutes before they headed out the store. Tanya and Abby came right as the couple was leaving so we spend about 15 minutes together as well. (extra bonus)
Obviously since you are reading this you can see that I have moved into the writing stage. I will also fill in some blanks on my rough outline for this upcoming Sunday and then rounding out the afternoon with time spent reviewing our current status and planning for the future.
I have found that when I take the time on Monday to do the important, most things don't reach the level of urgent.
What does your Monday look like?

My Monday is boring.
Chris is off, so it's a work day for me. Hit the snooze at 4:40 am, Get up at 4:50 am, out the door between 5:20 to 5:30. Work 6a to 2:30p. Then my REAL day starts. I pick up the girls from school at 3, home for homework, dinner, baths, and we have a family night which usually involves games or reading.
