This past weekend I played drums with Canvas for a retreat. We were leading worship for the New Life Renton winter retreat. I don't know what it is about retreats and camps but I just love them. Growing up in Alaska instilled in me a love for the woods and snow, but more than that I enjoy the absence of everyday busyness and the increased desire to experience God. Tanya did not come this time, which of course was sad, but we did get some cell service for the occasional touch back home. I absolutely love dedicating time to these passions, God, music and friends.
Of course all retreats are better with water skiing.
