Our team visited the Rock Church in Lynnwood this Sunday. It was a lot of fun, and gave us a chance to see Scott in his native environment. I felt bad that I gave him no warning but I don't think it phased him much. We really enjoyed the church. If you find yourself with a Sunday, get out there and say hi. We had some great people approach us and find out who we were and if we had been there before. We have been to a number of churches in the past few months and at many of them we didn't get much more than a smile with the bulletin. I was minding my own business getting some coffee and a lady says, "Hey I'm Melissa, how long have you been coming to the Rock." It was cool.
Scott hit a home run with a great talk as well. His down to earth and genuine, yet insightful
approach was encouraging, inspiring and thought provoking. (And no I don't say that just because I know he reads this, it is all true) Way to go Scott, we all enjoyed and appreciated what you had to say. We walked away saying, that is a real guy who wants to see the church make a real difference in this world. Very cool. For me it was cool to see that the stuff I get from Scott in our coaching sessions is the real deal. He doesn't just read it and talk about it, he is living it.So check out the church and the blog.
