Truth Makes Your Soul Feel Alive

There is something that happens internally when we hear truth. For those of us who are following Jesus, it is as if the Holy Spirit strums a chord in the very core of who we are. I experienced this Monday morning at Northwest.

Monday morning I played the drums at Northwest with Steve. I met a cool guy named Brad who plays the bass. Every once in a while you hear someone who plays an instrument and you say to yourself, "self, this is a true musician!" and Brad is definitely a musician. He gets it. He hears it. He feels it.
Earl Creps was the speaker. You may remember that Earl was speaking at the retreat we did a couple months ago. This guy is a gifted and masterful communicator. He is in town teaching for AGTS this week.

Earl started with a video from U2 and then proceeded to articulate an issue better than anyone I have heard to this date. He addressed the disconnect between regular spiritual discipline and true authentic Christ-like living. Many times he clarified that we all need to pray more, read more, fast more and increase spiritual pursuits. You just need to listen to him. You can get the mp3 or the podcast.
