Being Alone

This is Tanya's third day in Chicago. She is having a good time and I have been hanging in there. It is interesting how two lives can be so intertwined. It is funny how just having her around makes life so much better. I could do the same things and go the same places but something inside is just not right when are apart. We talk on the phone and exchange memories of the days experiences, but it is so different to experience in the context of being alone. The past two days have been good for me.

I went to the Northwest Ministry Network Emerging Leaders Conference yesterday. It was good. My brain was in and out of the room throughout the evening, but it was fun to listen to the dialogue and even though I never spoke in the microphone I had a pretty good conversation going on in my mind. It is an interesting tension we experience in the world of "doing" church.

For some insight into the discussion last night read Earl Creps post from our meeting on his blog.
