Clarity

I am becoming more and more aware of the need for clarity in my leadership.  Not certainty, but clarity.  I have been re-reading a great book, Next Generation Leader by Andy Stanley and it has been very helpful for me.  Often as leaders we feel like we have to have all the answers all of the time.  Stanley brings us a great point in that we will be uncertain most of the time, but we must remain clear all of the time.  Clear on what matters, why we do what we do and even in the face of honest uncertainty, clarity is what people need.

At LATR, we have known all along that this whole thing is an experiment in discovering what it means to follow Jesus.  Living an experiment automatically brings some uncertainty.  So right now I am refocusing in order to bring clarity to why we do what we do.
