Microsoft Freebies - Windows Live Photo Gallery

Microsoft is very well know for their Windows operating system and the Microsoft Office package.  Most of the computers in homes around the globe use windows and Office is the industry standard for office software.  What many people don't know is that Microsoft has been releasing some absolutely free software under the LIVE banner.

There are three free Microsoft products I use on a regular basis that I honestly believe you will have a hard time matching at the price.

The first one is Windows Live Photo Gallery.

Windows Live Photo Gallery is a great product and worth the download.  Photo Gallery is great for your image management but I think it really shines with a couple special features.

Photo stitching is the ability to to take a number of pictures and connect them seamlessly together to appear as one large panoramic photo.  My friend John has a video on the MS site to walk you through this process.  The quality of the final stitched image is excellent and many people spend good money to purchase a similar product.

Live Photo Gallery also include a feature which allows you to upload directly to your photos to Live Spaces or Flickr.

I find Windows Live Photo Gallery very easy to use and worth the download for the two features mentioned.

The Downside: Windows Live Photo Gallery does not replace the standard Photo Gallery included in Vista.  It installs separately and leaves the previous version installed.

Even with the downside, Windows Live Photo Gallery is a great FREE product from Microsoft.
