Confession

I been slacking on the posts recently. It is funny, during one of my blogging droughts a good friend asked me how I was doing. After explaining some of the unusual stresses I was under he told me that he could tell because of the lack of creativity on my blog. His position was that under stress we shut down creativity and go into management mode. Managing stress and those areas which cause stress is very demanding.

Well, it has been a little stressful lately.

But in the midst of very stressful times I am greatly encouraged and love what I do.

This past Thursday as I was driving home from our Creative Team meeting listening to the John Tesh show. (don't ask)

He was reading a report about the most fulfilling jobs based on a survey of over 25,000 people. The #1 most rewarding and fulfilling job was pastor/clergy. All of the top five jobs were service/people oriented. None of which are known to be high paying jobs.

We spend most of our lives at work. I find it fascinating that fulfillment in work has little if anything to do with money or other compensation. It has everything to do with contribution and doing something that matters.

Even thought this has been a stressful season for me, it has been so rewarding. I absolutely love what I do.
