Quote of the Day

Today Jeremiah said something like this: "They were so focused on the miraculous that they missed the obvious."

Man! What a line. I am learning that following Jesus entails so much more of the obvious. I think when we grow up in charismatic churches we can easily become people who seek God in the miraculous. When something really amazing happens then we know for sure that God is involved.

I am finding now that every day of my life there are obvious actions that God desires for me to take. Some so simple that I often write them off as non-God stuff. I think we can see Jesus in the obvious all the time.

I ask for the miraculous, but I am going to follow Jesus today in the obvious.
